Moving boxes are a decisive factor in the moving process. Moving boxes are available for all kinds of things. For books, clothes (with hanging poles), glasses, vases, pictures, light, heavy and fragile objects. The quality of the moving box is just as important as its practicality.
Why the banana box is good for bananas, but not for a move...
Banana boxes cannot be folded when empty and are therefore real space eaters. In addition, the boxes are often dirty and full of pesticide residues. Also, the banana box is not designed for the weight of household goods and quickly loses its stability. It is impractical because it is open at the top and is extremely uncomfortable to carry due to the sharp grip hole edges.
Special moving boxes are made of multiwall, particularly strong cardboard and are much more stable. They are usually coated so that the cardboard and contents are better protected against splash water and moisture. Real moving boxes have handy and reinforced handles on the sides that prevent the box from tearing when carried.
If you move with uniform moving cartons instead of old packaging and fruit crates, you have the advantage that the boxes can be stacked better and safer in the moving van. And after the move they can be folded up again to save space.
